Inspection Data

INSPECTION ID DATE DESCRIPTION COMMENT VIOLATION ID
2066767 2012-05-10 No Violations Noted Site construction was underway at the time of the inspection. Fresh water pit was located onsite and it had more than the required two feet of lined freeboard. Noted that the interceptor ditch shown on the E&S plan should be rocked or stabilized with erosion control matting. In addition the use of hay bales at the outlet of the interceptor ditch is not an appropriate use of this BMP. The operator should implement a rock lined outlet or a small rock lined sediment trap. At this time the Department is requesting that the operator address these minor deficiencies with the E&S plan and its implementation and forward documentation that these issues have been addressed no later than May 28, 2012. This information should be sent to the attention of Water Quality Specialist Greg Higgins at the above address.

2095772 2012-08-28 No Violations Noted Drilling had been completed, well appeared to be equipped for production. Brine tanks located onsite and they appeared to be in sound condition. The operator should insure that the containment diking constructed around the brine tanks meets the permeability requirements to insure that it effectively contains any fluids should a release occur. All buried metallic piping related to the conveyance of production fluids to the brine tanks should mee the corrosion protection requirements set forth in OGA 3218.4(a). The site had been regraded, however the topsoil had not been spread over the well pad. The well site was not temporarily stabilized as it should have been as per 25 PA Code 102.22(b). The Department recommends that the operator undertake temporarily stabilization if the remainder of site restoration actvities are not to be completed in the immediate future.
