2524188 Primary Facility 2016-09-28 Incident- Response to Accident or Event Violation(s) Noted On 9/28/2016, I performed an inspection of Range Resources Robert Hamilton well site. Present at time of inspection was Nick Reda and Brandon Carson (Range Resources). Representatives from Equipment Transport where present completing remediation of the spill. The site is located in West Finley Twp., Washington County. The inspection was performed as a response to a reported diesel spill by the operator.

The operator reported a spill of a diesel fuel to the Hamilton Well Pad. It is estimated that approximately 60-70 gallons of diesel was released to the graveled pad during loading of produced water, after the water truck experienced an engine runaway. The runaway broke the truck’s driveshaft which in turn punctured the fuel tank, resulting in the fuel release.

Liquids from the truck’s tank were transferred via another water truck, and the damaged truck was removed. Absorbent pads were deployed immediately following the release, and remediation of the affected gravel / soil was initiated once the truc
