1361386662 2013-02-19 I inspected this well and found it to be a gas well that was producing through the 4.5 in. casing. There was no gauge installed on the casing so I could not determine the pressure on the well. The wellhead and associated piping were very old looking and rusty and most of the original orange paint had peeled away. There was a 2 in. diameter steel flowline running from the wellhead up into a 100 bbl. steel tank, but the valve on this flowline was closed. Another section of 2 in. diameter steel flowline ran from the wellhead to a drip assembly. A regulator attached to a section of low pressure plastic gas line was plumbed into the drip assembly and was providing house gas. No leaks were observed on the wellhead or associated piping. The tank battery was located within 15 ft. of the wellhead and consisted of one rusty and paint chipped steel oil storage tank. There was no identification sign posted on the tank or in the tank battery. There was no dike surrounding the tank and the area around the tank battery contained an excessive amount of high weedy brush. The tank was determined to be empty and no leaks were detected on the tank. I did speak with the landowner and well owner, David Kollert, and advised him of the need to have an identification sign posted on the tank. Mr. Kollert advised me that this well sells no gas and is used for domestic purposes only.
