As photographs 1 and 2 show, an annual rye is present that is essentially choking out the perennial vegetation. Hence, permanent stabilization has not been achieved. The Department suggests brush hogging the annual vegetation.
2. As evidenced in photograph 3, silt sock is still present on the west side of the pad. Hence, not all E&S BMP’s have been removed. The Department suggests removing the silt sock. 3. The as-built diagram does not reflect the approved permits restoration plan. Namely, the cut slopes for the access road going onto the pad are not represented on the as-built plan, and the fill slope that still exists on the northwest section of the pad housing the pipeline tie-in is not reflected in the plan. The Department suggests that if Chief wants to change the restoration plan to reflect the as-built, Chief should apply for a minor modification to their plan.
