Most of the release was contained; however 2 bbl escaped both the primary and secondary containment on site. Cabot’s reports stated that the berms caught the fluid but Somerset Regional Water Resources flushed freshwater down the grassy area adjacent to the pad and dug a sump for collection. Resource Environmental responded the following day and screened the area finding that there were no elevated conductivity readings and no hits above background on their PID.
