This is a MARCELLUS WELL.

Filter socks are a temporary BMP that should be monitored to ensure they are intact and functioning. This is a MARCELLUS WELL.
1800885 Primary Facility 05/28/2009 Drilling/Alteration No Violations Noted During inspection, DEP met Samson representative, Charlie Howard. Frac project started on 5/27/09 and continued throughout night shift. Water flow to pit occurring at the time of inspection. No flaring occurred. Well head pressure at 523 psi and Samson was performing water sampling of the discharge at the time of inspection. At the time of inspection, no E&S issues and no IW discharge issues.
1812026 Primary Facility 07/10/2009 Drilling/Alteration No Violations Noted During inspection, DEP met Samson representative, Charlie Howard. Frac project started on 5/27/09 and has continued to date. Well was being sparged to bring out the brine water into tanks. Emission gas was being flared. Brine and Frac water was currently recycled via on-site treatment system (Ozone Technology). The frac water was pumped to above ground treatment tank where the water was agitated and treated with O3 and 10 % hydrogen peroxide. Upon completion of treatment, water is transferred to on-site frac tanks and shipped to the Troutman #1 site for future frac project. Note: I received notice/letter from inspector Paul Wyrwas that Samson is attempting to file for an extension on restoration timeframe in order to reevaluate the well; therefore, Samson has put restoration proceedings on hold until further notice.
