| My inspection this day is to start the process for entering the well into the Orphan Well Program.  Wayne National Forest, landowner,  has shown an interest in getting these 2 wells on the old Hendershot property plugged and will share in the cost.  I found this well with rods, tubing and 6 5/8" OD casing - pumping unit has been removed but found an old central power unit nearby.  The well has probably not produced since the 1950's and the property is very grown up.  I also found an old 100? Bbl tank sitting unlevel along the small run.  The tank, power unit and well are all about same distance - 10-15' - from the edge of the run that flows into Coon Run. The tank appears empty but there is a fair gas odor coming from the well - well is  about 950' deep.  The 2 wells on this Forest ground are located in 2 different sections and had 2 different lease owners/operators for each well.  A new access road will have to be built.  There is overhead electric lines but they are too high to be a problem.  SEM is 132, pictures taken.
