| I have field checked the status of this well several times and have no success in finding the location of this well.  I gave it one more shot and used the GPS of the surveyed location on the well permit to drill this well.  No luck. Called Enervest to see if they have current information.  Left message to call me.

| Tried to make an appointment to meet Rich Walker or Brian Brunton at the Sand Hill Mining Cop in Wellston, but no one answered the phone.  Went anyway to the office.  Met Rich and explained my quest to find this well.  Took their brief Health and Safety instruction then Rich and I entered the mine and went to the east side near the Vinton-Jackson Boundary and started search.  Entered GPS coordinates but they placed the well in Vinton County.  Pursued ground search based on location on topographic map.  After a few hours of searching where I thought the well should be I gave up the search.  My next option was to check with Jay Mine Inspector ODNR who was familiar with this mine.  Unfortunately he was not in the office.

| With the help of Jay Martin, his mine map and Google Earth software,  we determined that the well was actually next to the explosives storage hoppers location at this mine.  Went out for  another field check around this area.  Still could not find any evidence of this well. Frustrated.

| Field checked for this well's exact location using Delorme.  I walked everywhere in this area where this well was depicted on the map.  I also talked with residence on Bierhup road.  There have been several wells drilled in this area, some in Vinton County.  Unfortunately those wells may be gone due to extensive strip mining.  I found another well PN 20169 behind and on the north side of the original Bierhup homestead. Will try to search on the Clinton Sand Hill Mine that's located south of the presumed well next week.
