For this release of Ontario oil and gas well data on Wellwiki, our data came from a single source:
• Petroleum data download[1]
All the division and subdivision shapefiles were collected from Statistics Canada.
Overall, this upgrade resulted in the generation of 26,968 new or modified Ontario Well Pages; 2,220 new or modified Ontario Operator Pages and 223 new or modified Ontario Municipality Pages. The team for this project consisted of Joel Gehman, Zhi Shen, and Georgio Cheruvelil. Financial support and in-kind support for this project was provided by the University of Alberta School of Business.
