==HIFLD v1.0 (October 2020)==

The Homeland Infrastructure Foundation-Level Data (HIFLD), which is part of the US Department of Homeland Security compiled and released data for wells in different states in the US and Canada. This was the first release of HIFLD oil and gas data on WellWiki and includes data reported until November 2019. Our data came from:

Overall, this upgrade added data for 15 new states in the US and resulted in the generation of 578,039 new Well Pages; 25,169 new Operator Pages and 624 new County Pages. The team for this project consisted of Joel Gehman, Zhi Shen, and Georgio Cheruvelil. Financial support and in-kind support for this project was provided in part by the University of Alberta School of Business.
